We are pleased to announce the Transpressor, a new dynamic processing tool that surpasses the limitations of common compressors – no, we are not bluffing.
The Transpressor is the first processor that combines the two most important dynamic processing techniques: level-independent compression and treatment of transients. By blending these techniques in a single path, we aim to void the limitations each processor presented on its own.

Transient Designer
A transient can be defined as the first impulse of a waveform. What the Transient Designer does is shape the waveform according to the transient, and it only needs two controls to achieve that, either by amplifying or attenuating the attack and/or sustain. View Full Article »

“I wouldn’t start a mix unless I had at least 4 channels of the Transient Designer available. Especially effective on drums and percussion, it is an incredibly useful tool when it comes to dynamic processing, both in the studio and live. Great in adding that extra bit of ‚front’ or attack to transients, often necessary to withstand brickwall type limiting. What’s really exciting about this unit is what it can do to the release of your signal.”

We have been developing a new software tool based on our proprietary Transient Designer technology over the last months and it is starting to look very promising.
As you probably know, SPL invented level-independent dynamic processing in the 1990’s, providing the foundation for all transient processing tools. We have resorted once again to this proven and tested technology to develop our latest software tool: the DrumXchanger, a plug-in that can replace drum sounds in multitrack sessions irrespective of their level; it works in real time and replaces samples phase-accurately in the original signal.
