Sound & Recording reviewed the Passeq plug-in in its January 2011 issue. Besides the product description and assessment, there are also sound samples available to all subscribers. That way you can actually listen for yourself if the plug-in is really the “Passive Power Horse” they state in the title.
The Passeq plug-in was reviewed by Sound & Recording’s own Hannes Bieger. We selected the following excerpts for you:
Regarding high-frequency processing:
“The Passeq’s sound is unnoticeable, specially in the high frequencies. We have resorted once again to this proven and tested technology to develop our latest software tool: the DrumXchanger, a plug-in that can replace drum sounds in multitrack sessions irrespective of their level; it works in real time and replaces samples phase-accurately in the original signal.
