Our three key performance indicators show that last week’s Musikmesse in Germany has been the most successful and record-breaking one to date for SPL: visitor record, sales record – beer turnover record.

SPL will arrive at this year’s Musikmesse in Frankfurt with a rack full of novelties, including 13 brand new units of its “Analog Elemental Series” — One single unit, two modules, one 19-inch rack space.
The German manufacturer has succeeded in creating 13 Elemental units combining six modules. This means you can have a Premium or Preference two-channel preamp or a single-channel preamp perfectly matched with processors like a De-Esser, a DynaMaxx compressor, a TwinTube processor, or the legendary Transient Designer second generation. If you would rather have processing capabilities only you can have a DeEsser combined with a DynaMaxx or two TwinTubes, for example.
Traditional patchbays are very useful to distribute signals. However, when it comes to mastering, many engineers wish they had more flexibility: even for experienced users a simple comparison of different processors or processing paths can become a nightmare.
With our MasterBay S it is easy to manage up to four stereo processors comfortably. Its flexible switching matrix and unique listening comparison possibilities make it easier to get the best results out of the available equipment.
Traditionally, we are glad to exhibit our gear just the way it was conceived, without add-ons. But nowadays many control rooms and musician workplaces have been invaded by computer screens, making them —along with the classic racks and desks— part of the same environment as our hardware.
SPL has earned a reputation as a manufacturer of quality preamps, signal processors and controllers for the recording and mixing segments. At the same time, mastering engineers keen on high-end gear have made our brand a favorite in their studios. To bring these two worlds closer together, we now introduce the NEOS mixer, based on our tried-and-tested 120 V technology.
We conceived the NEOS first and foremost for mixing and monitoring applications in computer-based environments. The compact 7U 19-inch mixer includes 12 stereo buses for 24 channels, and a master bus. Every stereo bus can be switched to mono, while the Master bus features a complete monitoring section. Thus, the NEOS is ideal to mix stereo stems and specific mono channels in analog, after having done all the editing digitally on a computer.
