
Producer, songwriter, composer, and singer Jens Esch is the leader of German “Neue Deutsche Härte” band Riefenstahl formed in 2002. In addition to several studio albums, Esch has also released pop, rock and electronic music works, as well as film and video soundtracks. He is used to working with industry giants like EMI, Sony BMG and Warner/Chapell.

On the 15th of May, 2010, we visited Jens from our Hardware Department. He is giving right now the finishing touches to the Transpressor, his latest baby, which made its debut at this year’s Musikmesse. The unit tested by the visitors to our stand last March was only a prototype of the Transpressor. Like all of them could see, it was perfectly functional. But Jens is a perfectionist, so he wanted to recheck some minor details regarding the circuit and the layout of the circuit board before the unit went into production.
However, before the Transpressor came, Jens used to spend all his time with the Frontliner. It took him one whole year to get it the way he wanted it to be (from concept to actual production). Even though we know he is always really busy, we decided to meet up with him so he could tell us some of the secrets behind the Frontliner. And he was more than happy to welcome us…!
