Dutch sound design label “Kusanagi” run by sound designer/producer/remixer Motoko has just released its first expansion kit for the SPL DrumXchanger: DrumXchanger Kits Vol. 1.
The pack brings you ten dance plus three glitch drum kits for our powerful DrumXchanger virtual instrument. These electro-influenced drum samples will add punch and sizzle to your mix, while the added glitch kits provide a more experimental edge.
We’ve got great news for all of those SPL DrumXchanger fans who have been enjoying the software with great satisfaction for the last weeks, but still missed an option to tweak sample sounds: MoReVoX has just released DRIVEDRUMS SPL DrumXchanger Edition!
MoReVoX DRIVEDRUMS is a drum sample library developed in order to add drum samples from subtle to aggressive distortion. What a Messe this year! Our warmest thanks and congratulations to all those working day and night to make it possible! You rock!!
Were you one of the 110,000 lucky visitors at the Musikmesse and Prolight + Sound this year? If you weren’t you probably know by now that you should have been there!
Producer, drummer and instrument library developer Chris Marr is the man behind the sound of SPL’s brand new DrumXchanger. He has produced the “SPL Surrounded by Drums” DVD and, among other things, some sample libraries for Yamaha, Technics as well as ddrum3 and 4.
We asked Chris how he recorded the samples for DrumXchanger: “I played the drums myself. Every drum part was recorded with four microphones through two Channel Ones and two Track Ones. Additionally, I inserted a Transient Designer in every channel. The overhead signals were recorded and pre-amplified with a GoldMike MK2 with two Transient Designer. Ambience Close and Ambiense Far were also captured with a Transient Designer looped into each channel.”
