We’ve got great news for all of those SPL DrumXchanger fans who have been enjoying the software with great satisfaction for the last weeks, but still missed an option to tweak sample sounds: MoReVoX has just released DRIVEDRUMS SPL DrumXchanger Edition!
MoReVoX DRIVEDRUMS is a drum sample library developed in order to add drum samples from subtle to aggressive distortion. The character of each distortion depends on the gear used to create it, which include tubes, analog tapes and preamps. All samples were tested and optimized for retriggering and stand-alone use.
This brand-new SPL DrumXchanger Edition of DRIVEDRUMS takes advantage of the “rim shot” feature in the DrumXchanger by using it to control the “color” of the distortion in the sample’s mid range. This so-called “Drive Control” works in the frequency range of 500 Hz ~ 3 kHz and is very similar to an EQ, but it was created by splitting the original drum sounds into different frequency bands to build completely new samples. So it’s safe to say that it is an outstanding sound generator based on the dynamic behavior of professional hardware.
