Universal & Warner Bros.Do you know what Universal Studios and Warner Bros. Studios have in common? (Besides making incredible blockbusters that drive millions to the cinemas and being two of the most important production studios in the galaxy!)

Well, they both have chosen SPL Surround Monitor Controllers for their studios –  In case you don’t know, the SPL Surround Monitor Controller (SMC) is a one-point analog volume control and switching matrix for system-independent 5.1 surround and stereo monitoring.

Warner Bros. recently bought 12 SMCs and Universal Studios, LA, acquired 13 SMCs.SMC 2489If you are more into video games…

EA…then you might as well know Electronic Arts, right? Well, they also like our SMC quite a bit and are currently using 17 in their LA studios…
There must be something about the SPL Surround Monitor Controller that makes it so appealing…

Could it be its seamless integration with all sorts of software? Or maybe the software-independent source management and monitor levels? No, wait! I know, it is probably the fact that it can manage several input sources at the same time… or maybe George Petersen @ MIX Magazine was right and “the best part about the SMC (is) its sound!”

OK, ok so you are neither a video games nor a movies fan but you surely like music, don’t you?…  If you don’t you are probably reading the wrong blog… But it’s ok, even if you don’t like movies, video games or music you can still read our blog (and hopefully enjoy it)!

HarvardRadio FranceFor those of you who do like music, did you know that some of the best music schools, like Harvard University’s School of Music, also like the SMC? Or that some of the biggest public radio broadcasters in the world, like Radio France – who just bought 14 Track One preamps – have also made SPL the brand of their choice?
